Diabetes Task Force
We recognize that diabetes is one of the most pressing health challenges facing our community. To address this, we have established a dedicated Diabetes Task Force, a multidisciplinary team focused on prevention, early detection, treatment, and long-term management of diabetes across Nauru.
Our Services Include
Screening & Early Detection
Regular checks and programs to identify diabetes in its earliest stages.
Personalized Care Plans
Individualized treatment tailored to each patient’s needs.
Education & Lifestyle Support
Guidance on nutrition, exercise, and self-management.
Community & Workplace Outreach
Programs designed to raise awareness and promote healthier living.
Specialist Collaboration
Coordinated care with endocrinologists, dietitians, and other experts for comprehensive management.
Our Goal
The Diabetes Task Force is dedicated to reducing the impact of diabetes in Nauru by empowering individuals with knowledge, improving access to care, and supporting healthier lifestyles. Through education, prevention, and compassionate care, we aim to improve quality of life for all those living with diabetes or at risk of developing it.
At Nauru Medical Centre, the Diabetes Task Force stands as a partner to patients, families, and the wider community in building a healthier future.
