Dr Mie Mie Cho Win is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with extensive clinical, academic, and international experience across Myanmar, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. She completed her MBBS and Master of Medical Science in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Medicine 2, Yangon, followed by MRCOG (UK). She holds professional registrations in Myanmar, Malaysia, Brunei, and the UK.
Her clinical background includes roles as Senior Clinical Fellow at Northwick Park Hospital and Grange University Hospital in the UK, and as Registrar in the OG Department at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital in Brunei. She has also served as Registrar and Senior Lecturer in Malaysia, Clinical Supervisor with Malteser International in Thailand, and OG Registrar in several major hospitals in Myanmar. Her experience includes obstetric emergencies, antenatal and postnatal care, labour ward management, maternity and gynaecology operating theatres, outpatient clinics, and day-care units. She has independently performed obstetric procedures including caesarean section, instrumental vaginal deliveries, external cephalic version, perineal tear repair, cervical cerclage, manual removal of placenta, and a range of gynaecological procedures.
Dr Win has contributed to teaching and academic programmes through lecture delivery, examination coordination, and training of junior medical officers and midwives. She has held leadership roles including Reproductive Health Coordinator, National Consultant for Maternal and Child Health, Deputy Module Coordinator for OG, curriculum committee member, and team leader for the OG isolation ward during COVID-19. Her community service includes PMCT implementation, immunisation and nutrition programme supervision, and community health education. She has published research in reproductive health, maternal health, and public health, and has presented at international conferences.
