Nauru Medical Centre conducted an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course for experienced providers, delivered by Muwaza Moses Stanley, the Centre’s in-house AHA-accredited instructor and an experienced SAR and Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic.

Designed for clinicians already experienced in resuscitation, the program focused on strengthening clinical practice through the integration of current international guidelines and the latest research. Key areas of training included the use of ultrasound as an aid in resuscitation, identification and management of preventable causes of cardiac arrest, and a deeper understanding of the science behind resuscitation.

The program combined both hands-on and theory-based learning, providing participants with practical experience alongside evidence-based knowledge. This initiative forms part of Nauru Medical Centre’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the skills of its healthcare professionals, aligning clinical practice with international resuscitation standards, and improving patient outcomes in critical care situations.
